Fuengirola (71.500 inhabitants) is a large town on the
Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga, which has its origins
in Phoenician, Roman and Arab times. Today it is a major tourist
resort, with more than 8 km of beaches, and home to a mediæval
Moorish fortress.
