extension of agricultural production and the rising
importance of tourism are now the basis of the town’s
economic development. The most of its 34.000 inhabitants
live in the new part of the city, "El Mercadillo", which is divided by an old stone bridge
over an impressive river gorge from the old medieval part,
called "La Ciudad". |
